Construction has begun on a major expansion of KEC's Corona, CA (USA) factory
Kobelco EDTI Compressors, Inc. (KEC) has begun a major expansion of its manufacturing capacity at the company’s Corona, California (USA) location. The expansion will allow KEC to continue offering responsive production and delivery times for its products as demand continues to increase in North America.
The project includes a new manufacturing complex, which is being constructed on a 9.8-acre (4,600,500 sq mt) tract of property. The new construction will add 50,870 sq ft (549,396 sq mt) of shop space and 28,550 sq ft (308,340 sq mt) of office space. Completion of the new shop is tentatively scheduled for the first quarter 2011.
